Poised for its Next Phase of Growth, CoLab Adds Design and Operational Leadership

CoLab, the company building the AI operating system for hardware product development, today announces two strategic, senior-level hires to bolster its impressive growth path. Tom Greever joins the company as Senior Vice President of Design, and Jessie Wheeler joins the company as Senior Vice President of Operations. CoLab’s EngineeringOS helps engineers make better, faster design decisions by capturing expert design feedback, centralizing technical knowledge, and applying AI to accelerate product decisions.

A seasoned design leader, Greever is known for helping teams turn strong design instincts into cohesive, scalable systems. At a time when a lot of software is becoming headless, CoLab is doubling down on the human experience by hiring Greever to lead the evolution of the company’s design practice. CoLab believes that advanced engineering will always require a human-in-the-loop for decision-making, aided by teams of AI agents. Greever’s expertise will shape how design contributes at a strategic level while establishing the principles, systems, and operating rhythms needed to support a more complex, platform-oriented product.

“I’m looking forward to helping the company build the structures that allow its design quality to improve as the organization grows,” says Greever. “Design is a deeply human experience, and I was drawn to CoLab’s desire to keep their engineering platform human-first while integrating the best of what technology and AI has to offer.”

Wheeler brings her expertise as a proven scale-up operator to CoLab, having helped lead Own Company to a $2B+ exit before driving strategic initiatives at Salesforce. She joins at a key inflection point, imparting the experience and urgency needed to turn momentum into durable, repeatable scale. At CoLab, Wheeler will serve as a force multiplier across the business, leading the build-out of the company’s operating system to drive sharper alignment, faster execution, and greater accountability across teams. Her focus will be on operationalizing the business, aligning teams around shared goals and metrics, and accelerating execution—putting in place the systems and structure required to scale efficiently and sustainably.

“I’m excited to join the team at CoLab and bring in my operational expertise when the company is primed for expansion ,” says Wheeler. “By scaling what works and putting more process integrity in place, the next phase of growth looks bright. ”

“This is a pivotal time for the company, and we welcome the addition of Tom and Jessie,” says Adam Keating, Co-Founder and CEO. “Investing in design and operational rigor are intentional, strategic moves as we build for the future.” ”
