Trademark Announcement: Kim Davidson Expands Strategicorp©’s Intellectual Property Portfolio with Rugby Brewing™ Global Brand

Kim Davidson, CEO of Strategicorp©, has announced the expansion of the company’s intellectual property portfolio with the launch of Rugby Brewing™, a lifestyle beverage brand inspired by the global rugby community.

Kim Davidson announces Rugby Brewing™ global trademark expansion under Strategicorp's intellectual property portfolio.

Sugar Land, United States — 24 July, 2026 — Kim Davidson, CEO of Strategicorp© and the named applicant behind a new family of consumer trademarks, has announced the expansion of his intellectual property portfolio with the introduction of Rugby Brewing™, a lifestyle beverage brand built around the global culture of rugby. While the trademark filings are new, the brand itself is not a rushed idea — Davidson says Rugby Brewing™ is the product of nearly a decade of marketing research and development, work that began years before any application was filed.

The Rugby Brewing™ portfolio centers on four distinct trademarks: Rugby Premium Lager™, Rugby Lite Beer™, Rugby Ale™, and Rugby Brewskie™. Each name has been developed to appeal to a different segment of the beverage market — from a classic premium lager to a lighter, session-style option — while still reinforcing a single, unified brand identity rooted in the traditions of the sport. Rugby Ale™, the brand’s flagship, is positioned as a tribute to the camaraderie and shared experience that define rugby culture, while Rugby Brewskie™ leans into a more casual, social occasion. Together, the four marks are designed to give Rugby Brewing™ shelf presence across multiple consumer occasions without diluting the brand’s core identity.

Trademark applications for all four marks have been filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Davidson confirmed that corresponding international protection is also being pursued through the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), a step intended to give the Rugby Brewing™ name and its sub-brands standing in markets well beyond the United States as the brand grows — supported, he said, by prior industry relationships and by manufacturing and distribution partners the company is finalizing for global rollout.

Rugby Brewing™ is about more than a beverage label,” Davidson said. “It’s a brand built for the people who live and breathe this sport — the players, the clubs, and the supporters who show up every weekend, all over the world. Filing in the U.S. and pursuing protection internationally through WIPO reflects how seriously we’re taking this from day one.”

Davidson brings more than three decades of Fortune 500 experience to the venture, including leadership roles connected to Dow Chemical, Westinghouse, MillerCoors Brewing, and BHP. As CEO of Strategicorp©, he holds a U.S. patent covering SOS (Spares Optimization System) and RCM Turbo, two reliability-centered maintenance platforms currently deployed across more than 3,000 licensed industrial sites through a network of 49 global channel partners. Those systems apply structured reliability logic to help organizations identify functional failures, assess criticality, and select optimal maintenance strategies — work that has defined Davidson’s reputation in industrial and enterprise circles for decades.

That same disciplined, structured approach to building and protecting intellectual property, Davidson says, is now shaping how Rugby Brewing™ is being developed — though he expects the consumer brand to gain traction faster than his industrial systems did. “Those platforms took years to earn their place, site by site,” he said. “Rugby Brewing™ has a head start, because the groundwork on the brand itself has been underway for close to ten years. When something’s already built to be recognized, it doesn’t need as long to catch on.”

Rugby is played in more than 135 countries, with the next Rugby World Cup set to take place in Australia in 2027 — a moment Davidson sees as a natural catalyst for the brand’s visibility and growth. He also points to the sport’s changing footprint as part of the opportunity: rising participation among both men and women, a broadening age range of fans and players, and continued growth in the number of unions, clubs, and teams worldwide. Rugby Brewing™’s leadership group includes experienced business executives, rugby administrators, and veteran players with affiliations across multiple countries, giving the brand what Davidson describes as “an authentic seat at the table” within the sport’s global community rather than an outsider’s take on it. Davidson adds that his own network of international contacts and organizations has already expressed interest in the brand’s launch, though he says the priority remains getting the target market and pricing right before scaling.

The brand’s presence is planned across product packaging, merchandise, digital marketing, sponsorship activity, and community events tied to the sport — an approach designed to build recognition well beyond the beverage itself. Davidson also confirmed plans for a separate charitable foundation tied to the Rugby Brewing™ name, intended to fund youth sports programs around the world under the guiding principle “Peace Through Youth Sports.” With trademark filings underway in both the U.S. and internationally, Davidson said the broader goal is long-term rather than promotional. “We’re not chasing a trend,” he said. “We’re building something that belongs to this community for the long run, and that includes giving back to it.”
