TORONTO, ON, CANADA, September 14, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — The Travel Trends Podcast, the world’s #1 B2B podcast focused on the global travel industry, has launched Season 8 with a new Monthly Travel Trends Report, its widest-ranging editorial lineup to date and more opportunities for listeners to help shape the conversation.

Season 8 follows a landmark year for Travel Trends, with weekly listenership growing to five times its 2025 level. The new season was developed in response to audience feedback calling for more timely industry news and analysis, a wider range of topics and greater access to the people and ideas shaping the future of travel.

The podcast’s listener survey produced a Net Promoter Score of +50 and an average recommendation rating of 8.8 out of 10. Among respondents who answered the sponsor-engagement question, 48% said they had taken action after hearing about a Travel Trends partner.

“Travel is changing incredibly quickly, and our listeners told us they want help understanding which developments genuinely matter,” said Dan Christian, Founder and Host of the Travel Trends Podcast. “Season 8 is designed to make the podcast even more timely, practical and useful, while introducing listeners to the leaders, companies and ideas influencing where the industry goes next.”

New Monthly Travel Trends Report
A major addition to Season 8 is the Travel Trends Monthly Report, sponsored by travel technology company Sherpa.

Each edition brings together regional travel and economic trends, company earnings, investment and acquisition activity, policy developments, airline and hotel performance, distribution, tours and activities, travel technology and AI.

The inaugural 18-page September report, “The Great Repricing,” examines a summer in which record travel revenues often masked growing pressure on profitability. It explores seven major trends, including rising operating costs, shorter booking windows, changing regional demand, premium travel and the impact of AI on travel discovery and booking.

The report also introduces the Travel Trends Index, alongside regional analysis, industry earnings and investment activity, sector-specific insights and key questions for travel leadership teams.

The September edition is accompanied by a podcast conversation with Max Tremaine, Co-founder and CEO of Sherpa, and Marius Nigond, Co-founder and CEO of iWander and a member of the Travel Trends Advisory team.

Beginning in October, the monthly podcast edition will feature two or three industry executives in an hour-long roundtable exploring the latest findings and translating the data into practical business insights.

A Broader Range of Travel Topics
While travel technology and AI remain important areas of coverage, Season 8 expands into topics requested by listeners, including expedition cruising and polar travel, wellness and accessible travel, culinary tourism, Indigenous and culturally driven travel, marketing strategy, distribution and startups.

The season will also feature more founder stories, candid leadership conversations and practical lessons from independent travel businesses.

Travel Trends is expanding Travel Trends on Tour, bringing listeners behind-the-scenes coverage from major industry conferences. A new Most Active Listeners segment will also spotlight members of the podcast’s global community and give listeners a greater voice in future episodes and topics.

Quark Expeditions Opens Season 8
Season 8 premiered September 9 with “Heading to the Poles: Season 8 Begins with Quark Expeditions,” recorded at Quark Expeditions’ Toronto office with Sam Seward, President of Quark Expeditions.

The conversation explores the growth of polar expedition travel, what draws travellers to Antarctica and the Arctic and how expedition cruising differs from traditional cruising.

Seward also discusses Quark’s Arctic 2028 and Antarctic 2028/2029 programs, featuring more than 70 departures, a new Guided Photography Program, the company’s first Expedition Extensions, a new Canadian Arctic voyage and the return of its Tundra to Table program.

Season 8 sponsors include Quark Expeditions, Intrepid Travel, Kaptio, Repayd, Holafly, Propellic, Sherpa and TourConnect.

Season 8 launched September 9, 2026, with new interviews every Wednesday through January 27, 2027.
