Operation Welcome Home Recognizes the USS Abraham Lincoln and CSG 3
WOODBURY, NY, UNITED STATES, October 23, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Military AutoSource awarded a 36-month lease on a 2026 Jeep Wrangler WILLYS to AZ2 Elizabeth Ramirez, serving with the crew of the returning Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) and CSG 3.
AZ2 Ramirez won the lease through the Military AutoSource Operation Welcome Home Giveaway.
The surprise presentation took place on October 8, 2026, in conjunction with USS Abraham Lincoln’s return to its homeport in San Diego following an extended deployment. Members of the Military AutoSource team were on hand to present the lease to AZ2 Ramirez.
“They made the winner announcement right before we were going to pull in. I was at work and I didn’t think it was going to be me! Thank you, Military AutoSource,” said AZ2 Ramirez.
Operation Welcome Home was created to recognize the grit and resilience demonstrated by the members of the Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group as they finally returned to their families and communities after a record deployment.
“We have the privilege of working with Sailors, Marines, Soldiers and Airmen every day, so we know what they sacrifice and how hard they work in service to our country,” said David Goldring, CEO of Military AutoSource. “This was our small way of doing more than just saying thank you; giving a member of the crew the chance to hit the open road after a long time at sea.”
The Jeep Wrangler has long stood as an iconic symbol of freedom and adventure, making it the perfect fit for this occasion and recognition. The rugged 2026 WILLYS edition is a nod to Jeep’s WWII connection and is designed for the off-road, giving the winner something special to look forward to after months at sea.
