Locally owned Butte, MT retailer earns Gold for Lighting Store & Silver for Home Decor, recognizing nearly two decades of lighting expertise & service..
BUTTE, MT, UNITED STATES, October 23, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Unique Lighting & Home Decor has been named the 2026 Butte People’s Choice Gold Winner for Lighting Store and Silver Winner for Home Decor, earning recognition in two categories of the annual community awards.
The honors reflect the support of local residents and the relationships Unique Lighting & Home Decor has built with homeowners, contractors, builders, and design enthusiasts throughout Southwest Montana.
Founded in 2007, Unique Lighting & Home Decor has spent nearly two decades helping customers create beautiful, functional spaces through quality lighting, thoughtfully selected home decor, and personalized design guidance. From statement chandeliers and contemporary fixtures to timeless lighting styles and decorative accents, the Butte-based retailer offers a carefully curated selection backed by knowledgeable, individualized service.
“Being voted Butte’s Best Lighting Store is an incredible honor, especially because this recognition comes from the people in our own community,” said Kellie Gribben of Unique Lighting & Home Decor. “We’ve always believed that choosing lighting should be more than picking a fixture off a shelf. It’s about understanding someone’s home, their style, and how they want to experience their space. To know that our community values that approach means a great deal to us.”
Beyond its retail selection, Unique Lighting & Home Decor provides professional lighting consultations, including assistance with lighting layouts for new construction and remodeling projects. Working alongside homeowners, builders, electricians, and contractors, the business helps plan fixture placement, evaluate lighting needs, and coordinate lighting selections throughout a home. By considering lighting early in the design and construction process, customers can make more informed decisions about functionality, atmosphere, and the overall appearance of their spaces.
The Gold recognition in the Lighting Store category reflects the company’s commitment to quality products, knowledgeable guidance, and personalized customer service. Its Silver recognition in the Home Decor category further acknowledges its selection of decorative accents and accessories that complement a wide variety of interior styles.
Unlike retailers that focus primarily on volume and convenience, Unique Lighting & Home Decor emphasizes product knowledge, individual attention, and access to an extensive network of lighting manufacturers. Whether helping a customer select a single fixture or consulting on a comprehensive lighting layout for an entire home or commercial project, the business approaches each project with the same commitment to thoughtful design and customer satisfaction.
“Great lighting can completely transform the way a home looks and feels,” Gribben added. “We enjoy helping customers discover those possibilities, from choosing a beautiful focal point for a room to thoughtfully planning the lighting layout of a new home. When lighting is considered early in a project, it creates opportunities to bring together style, comfort, and function in ways that really make a difference.”
As Unique Lighting & Home Decor approaches its 20th anniversary in 2027, the awards represent a meaningful milestone for a business that has remained committed to its local roots.
The company extends its appreciation to everyone who voted, its loyal customers, and the builders, contractors, and community members who continue to support locally owned businesses in Butte and across Southwest Montana.
“These awards belong just as much to our customers and community as they do to us,” said D.J. Wonnacott. “We’re grateful for the trust people place in us, and we’re excited to continue helping Southwest Montana discover what great lighting can do.”
